The International Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies in Computer Science and Engineering is a peer reviewed journal. The International Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies in Computer Science and Engineering focuses primarily on the interaction of different disciplines when used to solve problems involving computing in engineering and applied science.  The primary emphasis of the journal is on a discussion of how varying viewpoints from different disciplines provide insight into a particular computing-related problem. What are the differences in emphasis, language, and culture that can make combining these disciplines difficult?  What are the primary problems that arise in this combination?  (In this context, “discipline” can refer to two different areas in computer science/engineering, such as (for example) image processing and software engineering, but is better used to refer to more widely disparate disciplines such as psychology, mechanical engineering, or systems engineering.)  For example, what insights can cutting-edge systems engineering research provide to a particular software engineering project, and what difficulties arise when acquiring this insight?  What insights could innovative psychology research provide to a particular computer networks project? Also, what benefits could image processing research provide to a particular software engineering project, and what problems occur along the way?
