Man in India, a quarterly peer-reviewed journal considers original writings in the form of broad-based papers, review articles, notes and communications on biological and socio-cultural anthropology, archaeology, linguistics and folk-culture. Manuscripts must be prepared in accordance with the following guidelines.
Manuscript: The paper should be concise, clear and in readable style, and it must be accompanied by an abstract written within 200-300 words. Papers without abstract will not be considered for publication. Contributors are requested to type their official designations and personal addresses at the foot of the first page of the article.
The authors are solely responsible for the views expressed in their concerned papers, and Man In India would not necessarily be liable for any interpretation made therein. The author should have the required copy-right/copy-right clearance in the concerned matter if any. The journal will not remain responsible in this regard.
Line diagrams and Graphs: These should be given at the appropriate place in the manuscript. The caption is to written at the bottom of these "Figures" in 11 pt., Times New Roman Font. There should always the double space gap before and after these "Figures".
Photographs: Photographs should be of proper specification needed in printing. For proper reproduction clearly contrasted and focused photographs are requested. Explanatory but brief captions are to be given for these figures at the bottom of the photographs in 11 pt., Times New Roman Font. These should be double space gap before and after each figure.
Tables: The tables should be submitted in the appropriate place or pages and these must be utilised only in focusing of the essential data. The tables should be numbered of the manuscript putting of titles or captions at the bottom of the tables in 11 Pt., Normal Times New Roman Font.
References: References should be listed at the end of the paper in alphabetical order, and they should include only works referred to in the text. These should be cited in the following way:
(a) Articles in Journals:

(b) Articles in Edited Books:

Please follow this system very strictly to help maintain a particular pattern in the journal.
Endnotes: Should not use/write manuscript in the text.
Peer-Review: All papers are subject to double blind peer-review.
Editing: All types of papers are subject to editing by the editor to suit the Journal and no correspondence is to be entertained on this issue. Please do not send any such article which has already been sent to some other Journals for consideration.
Proofs: Generally proofs are sent to the authors for checking and corrections. Proof corrections are done by the management to maintain the strict time schedule of the journal.
