The International Journal of Wastewater Treatment and Green Chemistry is a peer-reviewed journal. International Journal of Wastewater Treatment and Green Chemistry (IJWTGC) provides an effective platform for the dissemination of research findings to address the many-sided nature of the economic and environmental problems associated with wastewater generation, minimization, characterization and more importantly wastewater treatment. Since wastewater discharges also engender serious environmental contamination and damage, IJWTGC shall also provide for a comprehensive coverage of physical, chemical and biological research relating to the analysis, detection, measurement and elucidation of all environmental processes and impacts mainly associated with wastewater discharge. IJWTGC shall also cover the management of contaminants in all natural and anthropogenic environments, with special emphasis on the effects of exposure to contaminants and associated health risks.
The principles of green chemistry are being housed in IJWTGC since Green Chemistry focuses on reducing, recycling, or eliminating the use of toxic chemicals in chemistry by finding creative ways to minimize the human and environmental impact without stifling scientific progress, among which the generation of wastewaters is a major concern.
